Kumiko blocks for the asa-no-ha pattern. Standard set comes with two reversible blocks (4 angles): 45 degrees/67.5 degrees & 22.5 degrees/67.5 degrees. 67.5 degrees. 67.5 is repeated on both blocks for your convenience when making the infill pattern. Each jig is handmade from hard maple or ash with walnut stops and all brass hardware. Stops are held in place with brass knurled knobs for quick adjustments without the need for a screwdriver. Threaded inserts for the knobs mean you won’t have to worry about stripping out the wood with repeated use. The heft makes using these very pleasing. There are not many shop jigs that I put this much time and materials into but when making kumiko these blocks make the process even more cathartic and enjoyable.
